CBD FAQ

These answers cover the questions customers most often ask about CBD formats, strengths, labels and responsible use. They provide general product information, not medical advice.

CBD basics

What is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is one of the naturally occurring cannabinoids found in hemp and cannabis plants. CBD itself is not intoxicating. Products can contain different combinations of cannabinoids depending on how they are formulated.

What is the difference between full-spectrum and broad-spectrum CBD?

Full-spectrum products contain CBD alongside a wider range of naturally occurring hemp compounds and may contain trace controlled cannabinoids within applicable limits. Broad-spectrum products retain multiple hemp compounds but are formulated without detectable THC. Always check the product description and available batch information because formulations differ.

What does “1000mg” or “50mg per gummy” mean?

On an oil, a figure such as 1000mg normally describes the total CBD in the whole bottle, not the amount in one drop. On gummies, the product page states the CBD amount per gummy and the number of gummies in the pack. Use those figures to compare products rather than relying on labels such as “strong” or “high strength”.

Using and choosing CBD

How much CBD should I take?

We do not provide medical dosing advice. The Food Standards Agency currently advises healthy adults to limit CBD from food to 10mg per day. Some products, including a whole 25mg, 50mg or 70mg gummy, contain more than that daily amount, so check the label and consider your total daily intake. Read the current FSA guidance.

Who should avoid ingestible CBD?

The FSA does not recommend CBD for children under 18, people taking any medication, those trying to conceive, or anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding unless under medical direction. If you have a health concern, speak to a healthcare professional before consuming CBD.

How do I compare CBD oils?

Compare the bottle size, total CBD in mg, approximate CBD per 1ml, spectrum type, carrier oil and other ingredients. Start with the label and use our CBD guides to understand the terminology.

Where can I find laboratory or batch information?

Check the relevant product page for available batch information. If the report or detail you need is not shown, contact us before ordering and tell us the exact product and strength.

Are CBD e-liquids age restricted?

Our CBD e-liquids are for adults aged 18 and over. Keep all products away from children, do not swallow e-liquid, and follow the instructions and warnings on the product page and packaging.
